“Evil is powerless … If the good are unafraid.”
Tulip Girl, Even though the news in Ukraine looks hopeful on a temporary basis as of Dec. 3rd, as you know, we should all wait and see what happens next. It is NOT over until it is over. This conflict runs too deep as this old Ukrainian professor and veteran of Ukrainian politics named Peter knows. He wrote the following message to me this morning with subject line: “Master is angry.” I responded with saying that this sounded like the despicable character in “Lord of the Rings.” (I forget the name, not Frodo, not Bilbo) Yes, Peter responded with his second message that I was quite right. The “unholy trinity” is in Moscow planning their next move, that being Kuchma, Yanokovitch and Putin. Keep praying, Jeremiah
Dear Friends,
Master and Czar Putin is angry with his Governor in Ukraine
Kuchma.
They met in Moscow airport where Putin showed how angree he is
with the situation when representatives of European Union
try to help to resolve political crisis in a peaceful manner.
For him there is only one solution possible:
criminal Yanukovich is president! That’s it!
No alternatives, because Moscow invested so much money into
election campaign, and now they should retreat?
What will they be doing next?
Troops and guns?
Elimination of Yushchenko?
Elimination of disobedient ukrainians?
***********************************************************************
Thanks, Jeremiah,
Supreme Court said today that they should play the third round.
Kuchma has completely disagreed. Perhaps his Master said:
“No step back! Otherwise I will kill you!”
Stalin did so during the Second War. He used to encourage
people before a big battle:
“My soldiers, go ahead and defend Mother Russia!
If you are killed by germans, you are hero.
If your mother kills you, then you are a traitor.”
The rumors say that the completely Unholy Trinity of
Kuchma-Putin-Yanukovich device something black in their
minds. Russia invested into Yanukovich about $400,000,000.
There is no way back.
Yours sincerely, Peter
Hello TulipGirl and readers
I believe, referring to the quote, the unafraid good can overcome even Putin or any unholy trinity you can think of. The russian beast will have to roar and step back.
I want to say that some thousand kilometres west from Kiev the echos of the orange revolution still resound. We, the Poles, do have dark pages in our history with the Ukrainians. But I do wish that my friends from Ukraine saw thousands of orange-clad people in the market square of Cracow and in Warsaw. I was truly amazed seeing the amount of support for the orange revolution that was sparked in the Polish nation. These days you could see people with orange ribbons everywhere in Cracow. Ukrainians who live here widely opened their eyes and the space was quickly filled with tears.
There are two or three main reasons for this. Starting with the noble causes, the Ukrainians were very much reminding us of Polish changes in early 80s as well as 89. We also were giving flowers to the security forces and shouted to the “chodzcie z nami” [come with us] (ok i do not remember that I was 2 or 3 then ;) ) Also we dislike Russia, especially when shows its imperial ugly face. This is the most practical cause: the Russians controlling the Ukraine means Imperial Russia and this always has been a threat to us. That is why in the EU parliament the fact that the Poles support Ukraine’s democracy and westernization were called “Polish obsessions”
Best wishes for the Ukraine! Wilna Ukraina! :)
It’s being reported in AP that – “KIEV, Ukraine – Ukraine’s parliament failed on Saturday to approve changes to the electoral laws demanded by the opposition ahead of a new presidential vote, after opposition and government lawmakers deadlocked and adjourned for 10 days.
The parliament halted what had been intended to be a marathon weekend session aimed at passing a package of bills that would amend the law on presidential election, reshuffle the central election commission and make other changes to ensure fair balloting in the new vote, set for Dec. 26.
The Communists and pro-government factions had promised to vote for the package in exchange for the opposition’s support for a constitutional reform bill that would trim president’s powers.
But the compromise deal collapsed after supporters of opposition leader Viktor Yushchenko said they would only consider the constitutional changes after the Dec. 26 vote.”
Wow, I was worried for a sec there as I read your post about the election. I thought it was about the US election. Stupid me, better get my eyes/brain checked :)

What a great quote. Praying…
Reagan – the great liberator
Nice to see Thatcher supporting Ukrainian democracy.
I’m sure Reagan would’ve been right beside her.
“There is one thing more powerful than all the armies in the world; and that is an idea whose time has come.”
