Advent – The Third Sunday

Sunday Dec 17, 2006

2006-12-15 Florida 2 003.jpg

So we missed church this morning. There is an early service at 8am (impossible) and at 9:30am. At 10:30 T9 was asking “when are we leaving for church?” C6 had “helpfully” turned off the alarm clock. I didn’t even hear it go off–I must have rolled over and gone back to sleep.

So we had family worship today. I like having multiple copies of the Trinity Hymnal now. We didn’t need to pull them out for today’s Christmas hymns, though.

C6 lit three candles today. This is the week for the joy candle. We sang all the verses to Joy to the World.

there is no such thing as “missing church”. church was relocated to your living room and a whole lot of other people just didn’t know.

These are beautiful pictures! I think that it’s wonderful that you have family worship, something we want to do in our home as well.

I hope this continues to be a beautiful and blessed celebration of our Saviour’s birth. I’m afraid it’s passing by us a bit this year … but for a good reason … we had our second son on the second of the month! If you stop by my blog you can see pictures of the little guy and the rest of our happy family. =)

How Funny!!!

I mean, I think I know you from “Crosswalk.”

The funny thing is , I googled “Tulipgirl,” because that has been the name I’ve used for a few years,

and since I have changed it, I wanted to see if any old accounts or anything came up.

That’s how I came to find you? Does the Calvin Mafia mean anything to you???? HEEEEE HEEEEE

Oh my goodness! Wow–you and your family look great! It’s amazing seeing you. I didn’t know you used to go by TulipGirl. . . Ahhhh–great (Calvin Mafia) minds think alike, huh? Have you been to Kim’s blog?

Other than her via her blog, I haven’t been in touch with the old CW gang.

Hubby’s doing great–in grad school (Am. History/Immigration History) and so isn’t online at all these days. The boys are getting bigger. They all know how to ride two-wheeler bikes, no training wheels. That was a big deal to me–not only are we past the stroller stage, but no training wheels?! We’ve been back in the States about a year and a half. Haven’t done well with keeping up with people via snail- or e-mail.

Your family looks great. *grin* I’m so glad you “found” us!

Clint Langelaar:

I know how it goes; that alarm clock goes off and it should do the job but your late for church again! I wish we had the same fortune as having some hymnals in the event we had a late start to the morning! Hope the Christmas season is warm and green unlike here in a very cold, white winter Saskatchewan. Thanks for the comments, merry Christmas, good to meet some fellow Christians on the other side of the continent.

Merry Christmas TG! To your whole beautiful family! OK, now, I’m curious. Who is OPGal? Our friend from the Columbus Calvinist Mafia?
