I love that one, too. It’s probably my favorite Christmas hymn. I can’t sing it without getting all teary and goose-bumpy.

O come o come Emmanuel is my absolute favoritest Christmas Carol! Thank you for sharing your view and traditions of Advent. You are always so gracious in your suggestions and thoughts. Your posts have directed my thoughts toward our Savior and taken away the “bah, humbug” thoughts I was nursing in the back of my mind. What a joyous season to celebrate our Lord and King!

We sang the same hymn in church with the children leading us in with the first stanza. All my kids sang this song throughout the day…softly, loud…in their minds all day long…
