I get so sentimental. It just doesn’t feel like the holidays without the Leprikonsi.

There was a song that came out the first or second year we were here. I really liked the sound of it a lot. I asked someone to translate the words for me and they got all embarrassed and wouldn’t. I wonder what it said? ha! ha! Can’t remember now what it was. Maybe that’s good?

Hi from another person who misses Ukraine! I was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kharkivska Oblast from 2005-2007, and I found your blog at some point through the True Womanhood site.
Anyhow, I saw this post and remembered hearing the song on the radio my first winter in Ukraine…but I didn’t know Russian well enough at that point to remember the words (I “officially” learned Ukrainian but picked up some Russian as well). But since you had the lyrics posted, I went looking and found that it had been reposted on YouTube. Enjoy!
