Hi Tulip girl! This came up in my Google alert. I was there too – what a great sense of community! Hopefully Venice will continue to provide events like this for families of all ages to enjoy!

TulipGirl:
I was surprised at how hot it was, Wendy. Unfortunately we arrived too late to get a seat in the shade. Still it was very enjoyable. Pops in the Park, Shakespeare in the Park. . . I’m glad for kid-friendly venues!
How fun! What a great way to introduce your kids to classical music (and Shakespeare) in a fun, low-stress, no shhhhhhsh-ing environtment.

I’ve got to say, Jo, I’ve learned for next time that it is important to arrive waaaaay earlier than I think! The boys (and I) would have enjoyed it more if we had been in a shady spot where we could have an up-close-and-personal look at the musicians. At is was, it was enjoyable, but dang hot.
