I'm not a tech geek

That's part of the delay in getting this up and going--figuring out how to install MT and CSS. And also, I wanted it to look just right before going public. Obviously, I've given up on that and will deal with the generic template for now.I have an idea of how to build my new website through MT, not just blog. I've got the concepts floating around, but sheesh it's hard to get the 'puter to do just what I want it to do!

I've got to give kudos to HM, though, for their wonderful help, especially Stacy. I'm probably the type of customer that has tech support downing the tylenol.

I'm using Blogger, which is supposed to be easy. But tweaking the code and CSS drove me crazy. I thought at one point I was literally losing my mind.

I thought, why am I doing this? It's a labor of love even after all the headaches. Now I have my blog sort of the way I want it for now. Nice work.

Now, on the MT/CSS stuff. Yeah, it leaves a dent in the monitor from your head, but it is worth it. Such a sense of accomplishment you'll get when you figure it out. Keeps the mommy brain cells sharp too (at least the ones that are left).

I've been using MT for a year, and I finally think i have it down pat. When you understand how thier default CSS templates are laid out, it's wayeasier. I had to print a bunch of it out one time just to be able to "see" it. :)

Thanks, Andrea! I've come begging to you several times, but halfway through asking, figure out THAT particular question! *L*

I "get" enough of the MT idea to really be sold on it being a good tool for website building. That's why I was so frustrated that I couldn't get it to do what I wanted right away.
