The Heart of Obedience

"Biblical virtues cannot be learned from a how-to book. These character qualities are evidences of grace. They are responses of obedience that flow from a new heart. And a new heart is a gift from God to His covenant children."

That's a good quote. One day, after hearing for the nth time that I should train my children to exhibit the fruit of the spirit, it occurred to me that if that were possible, then it would be called the fruit of Mom, not fruit of the spirit. ;-)

Ooh! Ooh! She's speaking at our women's retreat next weekend! Okay, I admit it, the older women at my church are FORCING me to go, but that quote is helping me to get excited.

Doncha know that's what the older women are for? *grin* You better listen!

And I hope you enjoy and are refreshed, spiritually and physically, at the retreat. I get to go to a women's retreat in a couple of weeks. I'm looking forward to it. . .
