I will NEVER forget when I wrote to the president. I was around seven or eight and living in cuba. I got a big manilla envelope a few weeks later from WASHINGTON DC!!! TO a kid that never gets anything via post - except for the b-day and Christmas cards people HAVE to send you, it was AMAZING.... I cherished the packet of info on the whitehouse and a letter from Ronald Reagan inviting me PERSONALLY to visit anytime! To top it off - was a SIGNED photo of himself. He was my president!!! and what a handsome one.

I had totally forgotten about that, inAZ. *hug* And you're right--he was darn handsome. Did you see the pic Hubby put up? It's one of my faves.
