Please Pray

Hey, y’all. . .

The boys were giving each other piggy back rides, and C3 fell and broke his arm. It’s the right forearm, and it’s obviously broken. John has taken him to Boris Clinic, which has an excellent reputation. C3 was doing okay, but seemed to be a bit in shock. Please pray for peace for him, as well as proper pain relief and medical treatment, for John to be able to effectively communicate with the doctors, and for the other boys to have peace. (They are upset, understandably—especially since it happened while they were playing.) I’m doing okay, not great. Trusting God's sovereignty. . .

Update at 11:30 pm: John called from Boris Hospital. The doctors need to reset the bones in C3’s forearm, but it will not require surgery. However, it will require general anesthesia. The doctors came in while John was on the phone with me, so I assume everything is being taken care of as I write this. Please continue praying. John said the hospital is very nice, clean, and well-run. In the morning they will re-take the x-rays to be sure the bones are set correctly. John expects that he and C3 will be home sometime tomorrow morning.

My Luke just broke his right forearm this week, too. I'm so sorry about that!

Luke broke his on Wednesday and won't be getting it casted until tomorrow - and that's after I spent hours on the phone trying to find an orthopedist who would see him sooner than Tuesday or Wednesday. We'll be driving almost an hour to see the one we found.

So sorry about that. It's especially stinky to have to deal with it in summer.

I'll pray for quick healing for your sweet boy!

I know how you feel, minus the language barrier. My 2nd broke her leg during play with her older sister when she was 2 and i wasn't there but 2 hrs away. She had greenstick fractures through both the bones, just above her ankle.
I am sure all will be well and it will heal quickly.
We will pray for him.

Oh dear! I'm sorry you can't be there with him, I'll pray for all of you.

My prayers are with you as you hurt for him. My prayers are with his brothers, since I still feel bad for breaking my brother's finger forty years ago.

Of course I'll be praying. It's never easy seeing our children hurt - whether physically or emotionally.

I'll be praying that John and your son would be a witness to the hospital staff as well.

:o( That's no fun. I pray that it all worked out well and that he's home safe and in his bed resting by now!

I'm so sorry! I'll be praying for quick healing for him, and for you that God will give you creative ways of caring for him!

Poor boy! I'll be praying for you all today, Alexandra. Aren't you glad you are a TulipGirl when thunderbolts like this fall "out of the blue?" ;-)

God Bless. Will pray.

I'm sorry Alexandra! Must have been a nasty break to be "obviously" broken. With the time differential, I too hope that C3 is resting snug & safe at home. Will pray.

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers and encouragement. It's amazing how upsetting it is when our children are hurting. Yep, Barb, it was pretty nasty. They put him under to align the bones, and they'll do a follow up xray in a few days. (And C3 is really sad that we've cancelled his trip to the sea. . .)

And Amy, I hope your Luke gets taken care of soon--and heals up quickly.
