Is your youngest weaned now?

I weaned my son at 25 months and got pregnant about a week later (although I'd had my period back for quite a while). I got pregnant while still nursing my daughter and just weaned her a month or so ago at 21 months (which seems too young sometimes). So I've been pretty much constantly pregnant or nursing for 5 years now.

Being in-between nurslings makes me a bit sad sometimes -- it is such a sweet and wonderful thing, but it isn't like I have all that long to wait until I have another one.

I have been pregnant and/or nursing for the past 11 1/2 years. ;-)

Neither of my kids seemed very interested in nursing once they really got the hang of eating solid food(beyind the mush you give to beginners). My oldest lost interest at 8 months (around the same time I became pregnant with his little brother). The second hung on untill he was about 10 months. We'll see how long the third kid lasts. I occasionally have moments where I think, gosh will I remember how to do this? My youngest will be 2 next week it feels like it's been forever since I did the newborn thing.

My biggest pet peeve about breastfeeding, why do nursing bras only come in white? I've been tempted to dye mine blood red or something just to have some variety.

Anent the subject:
We have a new grandbaby girl. Four year old Andrew visited in the hospital and did not know the answer to his other g'ma's question about how and what mommy would feed Rebekah. He sat on the bed with them and watched in wide-eyed wonder, then asked, "Are you squeezing the milk from your tummy?" Also commented, "Rebekah is drinking all the booby milk. She is really thirsty. Rebekah really likes the booby milk."

I found a link about another breastfeeding group this morning, the African-American Breastfeeding Alliance.

I admit that my nursing bras are all white, beige or black, but you can get them in other patterns and colors. Bravado ones come to mind as being especially cheerful -- and they have the most comfortable maternity bikini underwear I've found.
