Okay, time for me to be the spoilsport. ;-) I'm all for the wonderful gift that breastfeeding is, and how God uses it to knit a mother and child together, and how it works in so many wonderful ways...

BUT....

isn't this sentiment a bit over the top, biblically speaking?

"Their relationship is one of perfect love,
unconditional trust and harmony."

Presumably the author isn't coming from a biblical perspective, but it still bothers me a bit to read things like this, because ISTM the beauty of breastfeeding can stand *within* a biblical understanding of human nature, or even be *best* understood within that context, *without* having to junk it up with such incorrect sentiments.

Yep. Of course you are correct, pentamom. I wanted to give credit where credit was due so I was quoting the copy without thinking as much as you, obviously, were. *grin*

What would you think about rephrasing it to be more reflective of a Biblical understanding by saying,

"Their relationship is one that gives a glimpse of God's perfect love and establishing trust."

I think that would be lovely. :-)
