As an avid, and I mean AVID, breastfeeding mom, I am loving all your posts and pictures lately! Thanks!!!

This is one of my all time fave nursing pictures...I used it last year on my blog when I wrote a poem about nursing!

This is a beautiful picture.
Thanks for the wonderful breastfeeding posts!
I've added your link at Good Soil!

Alright, alright -- this and your last 4 jillion consecutive posts on the subject have forced me to recant my former slow acquiescence ( Sciolist is Pro-Lactivism ).
You ladies are fanatics!
Which one of you is making the bomb for the baby formula factory?
(Sciolist hunkers down for his imminent undoing.)*** disclaimer: the above comment may not necessarily be the opinion of the other woodsmen OR THEIR WIVES

I am loving all of your breastfeeding pieces. I've hit a record with how long I've breastfed my latest baby. When my first child was born I had visions of sitting in a rocker enthralled with my baby at my breast. My idea was shattered by reality, and with no support in place I quickly gave up. I have finally achieved my dream, and on mornings where I nurse my baby in bed, I finally feel all the things I thought I would. It's so wonderful to see these pieces and get that kind of warm glow-y feeling inside. Thanks!

Sciolist,
"You ladies are fanatics!
Which one of you is making the bomb for the baby formula factory?"Yes, we may be fanatics, but no, we won't bomb any formula factories. We just love the beautiful gift God has given mothers and babies.
(Sciolist hunkers down for his imminent undoing.)
Now, now...There is nothing to worry about from us lactating moms. We won't hurt you. We'll just pray that your future wife will become a La Leche League leader. *mischevious grin*

That is DEFINITELY true. In fact, 100% of the woodsman wives are currently lactating! (It could be only 3 out of 4. I'm not 100% sure about Kirk.)

"The Wet Nurse" painting may be nice, but that practice always bothered me.
By the way, Tulip Girl, my websites will be down for the next 2-3 days - that includes my email. I will never even get to see the email that is sent to me during that time!

Carol, I understand--I don't like the idea of a servant taking the nurturing place of a mother in a baby's life. However, I do believe that wet-nursing could have a positive role in society--though I rarely see it in the US and Canada, in circumstances of true need.
