The most interesting political map I've ever seen was at Phyllis Schlafly's site after the 2000 election. The map was broken down by county and it was amazing how much of the US geographically went for Bush. There were states that Gore won based on two or three cities, when the rest of the state voted for Bush.

I think it would be a good thing if the states went off the general ticket way of giving all the electoral votes to the candidate with that state's majority. Maine and Nebraska still divide their votes by district.

Imagine how much more upset Gore and his supporters would have been if he had won even fewer electoral votes. *evil grin*

Have you read PS's biography? Can't remember the title right now, but it is very inspiring.
