Thankful Thursday
1. My Dishwasher It's super-small, but I'm so happy I at least have one. Doing dishes is one of my least favorite tasks.
2. My Washing Machine Again, it's super small and I'm never caught up on laundry. And it eats clothes. But if I had to handwash everything, I don't think we'd ever wear anything clean.
3. My Towel Warmer One of the common luxuries in Ukraine, is the brill way they run the hot water pipes externally in the bathroom. I love getting out of a warm bath to wrap up in a warm towel.
More Thursday Thankfuls at the BadgerMum's.

LOVE the towel warmer - what a great idea! so glad i put the house building on hold... there are so many more ideas to gather! *L*

Oooh, towel warmers! That was something I just loved when in Russia to adopt Dmitry. ;->
I swear I'm gonna get me one of those for my bathroom.

'Thankful Thursday' --brilliant! :)

Yeah, towel warmers ROCK!!
Unfortunately I don't have one in my current pad. But one lovely Slavic household innovation that's unaccountably missing from Ukraine is the over-the-bath drying rack - know what I'm talking about? Five or six bars up by the ceiling, raised and lowered on pulleys. A great space saver.

Hi, found you through Selkie's site. I like your blog. I'm always hungry for more homeschooly blogs. I guess my question is, and I'm a bit daft sometimes, are you in the Ukraine? There are no sidebars giving your life in a nutshell that I could find) so I'm sort of going on the hints.

Thanks,
KC
MtnMama, when you get the time, could you send me some pics of the site prep and fill me in on what you mean by putting the housebuilding off for now?
Anne, I love seeing the pics of your growing family. I finalllllly registered at xanga, so I'll get to type out the comments that I only think when I'm visiting your site.
Lib! I'd love to have one of those! Btw, when do you think you'll be around next? Any chance of making it for Thanksgiving?
Welcome, Paul. I really like Kelly's thankfulness reminders each week. Great gratitude builder.
Hi, Kim!
*grin* Yep, we're in Ukraine. I have a "50 Things" list that I wrote out on the metro a couple of months ago, and just haven't gotten around to typing them and posting them. *blush* And then I swing between between transparency and privacy online. . . Though it seems like transparency is winning out.
I'll make the "50 Things" and other updates planned a higher priority.
It's nice to meet you!

Tulipgirl,
I hear you about the transparency. I don't have a sidebar either. Mostly because I'd feel dorky trying to quantify and label myself. Also, because I thought maybe my blog can speak for itself, as does yours! I just wanted to make sure I understood where you were. That's so cool! I bet you have some adventures homeschooling over yonder.Kim

That bathroom heater/towel warmer is the coolest - no, I should say "hottest" - thing I've ever seen! When we lived in Virginia, our old house was heated by hot water pipes along the baseboards, and it spoiled me so much that I don't like any other kind of whole-house heat.
