My Baby is in the Hospital
As Hubby posted, our second son T7 has obstructive(?) bronchitis and pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital last night. Prognosis is good, but he needs to be in for several days.
We were at the state children’s hospital yesterday, and transferred to a private hospital today. (Don’t worry—both are clean. But one day we’ll tell you amusing stories about the State Hospital. . . *L*) I stayed with him last night, Hubby is with him tonight. Babushka has been with the other boys a lot (in fact, she was the one who realized he had more than a normal chest cold.)
T7 is a lot happier now that they have given him an IV instead of regular shots in the bum. He talked with brothers on the phone this evening and they were all happier after that.

Still praying - and very glad he's on the upswing.
Amazing about the hospital having no IV!
Get some sleep.

Oh, no! Hope he recovers speedily.

Thank you, everyone, for your prayers.
Megan, I read about your experience two years ago earlier tonight. It was hard to read. When we first took him in to the clinic, I balked when they wanted to admit him to the hospital. (Staying for a couple of days in the hospital is very common for minor things. People call the ambulance for toothaches or hangover-dehydration. I thought it was the usual UA overreaction.)
Thankfully, T seems to be doing fine and has been pretty cheerful, apart from the shots and missing brothers. And the new hospital is very nice and comfortable. *g*

Refuah shelamah to him-- a complete recovery, I hope the stay is quick and he gets home very soon.
I'll add him to the prayer log.
Hugs to you.

Hey again - I hope my posting about Maddie from 2 years ago wasn't insensitive to your situation. It just seemed a natural way to introduce your story on my blog since most of the folks who read my blog are our friends and family and know all about Maddie anyway.
Maddie has been especially sensitive to praying for your son. She has a really soft spot in her heart for kids who spend time in the hospital!
Glad your new facility is meeting your needs and expectations for what a hospital should do.
How long do they think he needs to stay?

Hi TulipGirl,
Glad you son is on the mend and those dreadful butt shots are over! I always hated those!

Oh, no! My son had that (he had bronchitis 3 times but pneumonia only once). I hope he feels better soon!
Hugs and prayers.

Hooray! He's home! Hubby came with all the boys to the hospital this evening, and then we had dinner together at McDs. All of the brothers were trying to sit next to T7. It felt *so good* to all be together again.
Thanks for your concern and prayers!
