For the Mommy-Encouragement Files

This whole vulnerable essay is worth reading, especially on days we’re really struggling. No one part can be pulled out and quoted, so go read the whole thing.

that was a great essay. i really identify with the term she used about being a mutt...parenting mutt? great term. i can't get exited about any one bandwagon and over the years, the people on the bandwagons of any one person seem to get way off balance, no matter how balanced that person seems to be. i think it may be a temperament thing. people who are inclined to get on bandwagons tend to go to extremes? anyway, that was a great essay. i'll recommend it. it's a great underline for why she shouldn't discipline in anger too...we always say and do things we regret. getting it under control is one of the hardest parts of discipline. the other is dealing with problems b/f they escalate to that stage. it never stops when kids are in the home. that's why it can be so exhausting if any (:) ) of them are strong-willed. usually someone is. martha
