Baby, You're Making Me Crazy

"The one thing I have not written about, that I don't really talk about, is the year after my son was born: the year I went crazy. I've been trying to find a way to tell this story, and I think that in order to have it make sense, I need to start at the beginning. My son's birth day." --Amy

Amy is going where so many of us are afraid to tread, writing in her vulnerable, cut-to-the heart way about post-partum depression.

Thanks TulipGirl. It was a good read. I posted up some thoughts on depression only last night so it was really good to see your poast and read Amy's story. BTW, I tried a TrackBack and it didn't work.

I am so glad Amy wrote that, and that you linked to it, Tulipgirl. Hers is one of the good descriptions I've read of what it's like when we go into deep depression--I've had three episodes like hers, not connected to childbirth, but to obsessive-compulsive disorder. It really is as close to Hell as one can get on this earth--I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. I thought God hated me. But he didn't.
