I'm in major need of some cheerleading today. I think Jay has been progressively losing his latch-on skills, and now he's getting bloody milk. Or could it just be my supply? I don't know, but OUCH!!!

Ouch, ouch! Are you saying that he is chomping down?

I went to your page and looked at the pictures of your cutie! How old is he?

Sometimes teething makes a baby latch on strangely and they try to find relief in biting. He looks about the right age for that...can you try some teething remedies...and then watch him like a hawk when he's nursing to try and catch him before the chomp--you want to be quick on the draw to slip a finger in so his jaws can't clamp down.

I'd invite you to join the Gentle Christian Mothers message board (Tulipgirl's got a link in her "Good Stuff" section)--there is a breastfeeding area there and you'll get lots of cheerleading and helpful ideas there...
