Harry Potter Just Arrived!

I was hoping-hoping-hoping it would arrive today!

But was still surprised it did.

Good job, Amazon.com!

Nathaniel already read the whole thing today (Saturday). He loved it! (But he's not ruining it for the rest of us by telling!)

I'm not surprised! *grin*

I finished mine today! Very good....now I'm dying for the 7th to come out!

Don't you just love the anticipation, then the curling up for a whole day with a book...and putting it down satisfied? Great stuff.

I want to ask, with out being judgemental of anyone....I don't understand Christians reading and endorsing Harry Potter. Have I missed something? I was under the distinct impression that it was quite clearly full of witchcraft of one sort or another. Deuteronomy 18:9-11 and Galatians 5:19-21 are both clear on not practicing witchcraft. And of course Philippians 4:7-9 tells us to "guard our hearts and minds" and to "think "on things that are "pure". Isn't this a contridiction to what is in the Harry Potter books. (I am just wondering because so many Christians seem to be okay with them and I only want to be clear on what the Bible is teaching. I really do not want to offend anyone.) Tara

I picked up the first in the series last evening. I started reading and fell asleep. The only time I can read is after Aiyana sleeps. I was wiped out. I will be going on a road trip with a friend later today. I am tempted to take the book along to read but I know that would be rude. ;-)
