Th4 told me yesterday - we need to go to mexico, to the beach and get the baby out! she's been asking about a beach trip for awhile and wants the one in mexico, california, or florida. every now and again she'll ask if we can go to one in canada - for SOME oddball reason she is convinced canada has the most pirates... Hmmmm.
love you
I hope the spinach artichoke dip turns out and the nephew debuts soon and very soon!

Kristen,
It was fabulously yummy. And have you ever tried Ritz Chips? They are in the cracker aisle at the grocery store and I think they are new. They are like ritz crackers, but yummier and crispier. *grin*
mtnmama,*LOL* at the pirates in Canada. Have you let her see the Pippi Longstocking movies? Or, maybe she's old enough to listen to the Pippi books. I think she'd like them.
And I'm soooooo looking forward to your visit here. I'm so glad we could talk Saturday night.

we read the old pippi longstocking aloud a few months ago. is there a series i don't know about? would be nice to start her on listening to stories. the books on cassette at our library are limited and i keep eyeing the harry potter ones, but i don't know that she'd get into that just yet. maybe you can tell me better. :)

I believe there are three books in the Pippi series:
Pippi Longstocking
Pippi Goes On Board
Pippi in The South Seas
The first book Hubby read aloud to the boys was Babe, the Pig. Th4 may really like that.I highly recommend "Little Pilgrim's Progress" adapted by Helen Taylor. ALLLL the boys loved that one, from a young age.
C4 didn't really get into listening to the Harry Potter books, though we have let him watch the movies and the boys use a lot of Harry and LOTR's ideas for their imaginative play.
When you come visit I'll gather together some of my children's classics to long-term-loan to you and Th4.
