Marriage: Keeping it Simple

Less is more. Read the Bible. Submit to your husband out of reverence to Christ. Know that you will fail. Ask forgiveness from God and your husband and start over again.

Thanks for the link to Sparrow: I don't pay much attention to books written to/for wives. The post, and especially the comments, was very enlightening...and a little scary.

Glad to see you around! The url I had bookmarked for your blog disappeared. . .

If you do a search for "Created to Be His Helpmeet" you'll find more information about this concerning book. Or check out the links in this post:

Thinking about it more, I was wondering whether someone like yourself, who spends a great amount of personal and professional time in helping families have healthy marriages, would consider reviewing a book like CTBHHM? It seems to have impressed a great many impressionable Christians--and in my opinion will eventually lead to more damage than any good that seems immediately gleaned.

So, would you consider reviewing it?

I desperately want to say yes, and am flattered you think I might have some unique insight. But... like everybody else I know, I'm too busy. Let me put it on my reading list and see what I can do.
