Remembering Rachel

"A voice was heard in Ramah,
weeping and loud lamentation,
Rachel weeping for her children;
she refused to be comforted,
because they are no more."

Thirty-three years of nearly unrestricted abortion in America.

Forty-two million abortions performed since that time.

Every abortion involves a a mother and her preborn child.

Most involve a father, grandparents, siblings.

We mourn for the loss of life, the loss of hope.

And we remember.

In TIME this week, in the Numbers Section
"10 million: Number of female fetuses that may have been aborted over the past 2 decades in India by parents hoping for sons."
Similar situation as in China so that there is now an imbalance in number of females in the society.

I had an abortion. You never forget like they tell you that you will. Six children later... I still tell people I actually have 7. The best thing I did with that nighmare was to become a pro-life speaker. I have spoken for Care-Net and for the radio. Before that I hid it. Too many people do that... hide, instead of educate others about what it is really about...

TG I shd be posting this on yr last b/feeding post, but it's on my mind. I met a lady last week with a baby, and in conversation I asked if she was b/feeding. No, she said, the baby reacts to her milk so she's feeding him goats milk. This had happened with her first as well. It seemed peculiar to me. How can a baby react to its own mother's milk? Have you heard of this before?
