They (muslims) are all going nuts over here with protests in central London. I think they need to get a thicker skin and I also think the media and the government here needs to stop kowtowing to the fundamentalist muslims every whim. I think it's outrageous that the protestors are allowed to wave placards saying they are going to kill those who disagree with them. Can you tell I'm a *little* bit annoyed about this? :0)

I wish that Christians were a little more willing to defend the second commandment and the rights of Christ. Not that I think that we should ever riot and act as the barbarians, but at least a little passion for the rights of Christ would be nice.

It saddens me that religious zeal is not ours, but theirs.

Nate, pls explain. I'm not getting the connection between the command to not worship idols, the rights of Christ, & the peculiar behavior of the Islamists.

What I mean is that Christians should be outraged when our God is mocked and portrayed in image form (a violation of the 2nd commandment). We as servants of a great King should be more willing to defend his honor and less willing to allow him to be defamed as he is in our culture.

I don't think one can portray God as an image because He is spirit. We worship Him in spirit & in truth. We defame Him if we worship anything/anyone other than God (idolatry). Seems like Muslims have fallen into this trap, making the image of Mohammed sacred.
