Well, you may not be a tulip, Tulipgirl, but the iris is a lovely flower and the attributes associated with it are both winsome, and in your case, very true.

I was an Iris, too... The illustration, BTW, is by an Eastern European, Alphonse Mucha (can't do the diacritical marks, unfortunately!)--one of my favorite illustrators.

CEP, we love Mucha, too! We had to renew our visas in Nov '04, and so got to travel to Prague. We went to the Mucha museum. Definitely made an impression.

Reminds me of the poster I had on the wall of the flat I lived in in hippie/Uni days. I was into Mucha & the Pre-Raphaelites until I met hubby who introduced me to 17th Dutch which is now my fave period of Art History. We saw the Dutch Masters in Amsterdam after we married then they were here in Oz recently.
TG are you TULIP as in Reformed theology Total depravity etc I can't remember what all the letters stand for?

Thought it was fun! I was NOT an Iris... no surprise here. I was a Carnation:
