A great link, tulipgirl. Thank you. I like your re-contextualising of the Philippians verse too. Washing up can be so mundane. I used to pretend I was washing up to get ready for serving Jesus as if he was coming to dinner. It was supposed to remind me to work, even at the mundane tasks, as if serving God not men. I wanted my service to my family to bring honour to God; to be part of my worship to Him. I'm not sure if my pretending was the right thing to do...I mentioned it a bible study one night and received looks as if I was about to be declared insane. Sigh. It helped get through the pile of dirty dishes though. I admire your contentment.
