Internet Addiction Test

My sister thinks I'm an addict.

This'll show her.

You are an average on-line user. You may surf the Web a bit too long at times, but you have control over your usage.

What about you? Take the Internet Addiction Test. They even offer a "Virtual Clinic" for those who need help.

PHEW! I got the same result as you. I'm not addicted, I'd just rather read and write blogs than mop the kitchen! Duh!

I got in from the office! Yay!
I am an average user too. In fact, many of my answers would have been "never", if they had that option.
That said, why is my car the only one in the parking lot? and why am I still here when I have to go grocery shopping? Hmmm...
Hope all is well with you, haven't talked in a long time!

You know, I have issues with the whole idea of internet addiction. Culturally, I think it's replacing the idea of TV as an entertainment mechanism. If you spend 3 hours on the Internet, you're labeled as 'addicted' and 3 hours on the TV you're labeled as just being lazy. Maybe it's the negative affect placed on the term 'addicted' or maybe it's just that I spend 8 hours a day (at work) interacting at some level with the Internet but I just don't get the whole idea of it being an addiciton.

I think, as Christians, the whole goal should moderation and we should replace the word 'addiction' with idol; e.g., is it an idol?

Well, there I've gone and done it...ruined a perfectly good fun post :).
