Hacked

Hubby's main site and ROP site have been hacked by Turkish muslim hackers. Anyone know how to fix this and willing to help? Thanks!

Update: Not sure whether Hubby fixed it, or if he had some help--either way Le Sabot and ROP are back online. Thanks for the quick and supportive responses!

Wish I could help you! Just out of curiosity - did you visit Istanbul or other parts of Turkey while you were here? It is such a beautiful country and the people we met there for the most part were warm and friendly. Such a pity these things happen.

No, we didn't get to go. That was one of Hubby's biggest disappointments.

At the WIC conference, I kept thinking I caught sight of you, but then would remember, "No, she's in Ukraine. . ." But you were on my mind a lot. I did see Dawn, Vika and Irina, though--and even had lunch with them!

I read your blog, but I'm not sure I have ever commented before. Is your hubby's site a blog or his own website? He should be able to just go in and change the code back to the regular site, but I'm not sure how to prevent it from happening again ...

Blessings!!

I emailed Michelle Malkin, as her site has been hit by Muslims before. Maybe she'll be able to help.

Unfortunately, there's no simple solution. You need to turn off the server, and start from scratch. You have to assume that anything remaining on the server has been compromised, and, thus, anything you try to do will be undone as soon as you do it.

Yes, I know, it's a huge hassle. I've been there. :-(

So glad it's fixed. I hope it can be prevented from happening again.

Next thing you know, Tulipgirl will become an Ezzo site. (just joking)

It looks like Le Sabot Post-Moderne is hacked again. ROP looks OK right now, but www.postmodernclog.com is not itself.
