Music to My Heart

J10 is singing "Rock of Ages" with the newish melody. My heart melts.

Our team in Ukraine used to try to sing Rock of Ages alternating the new and old tunes with each verse. We always struggled to keep them straight.

Update: J10 told me Daddy was singing both melodies with them today, and that they were singing the first verse over and over to learn it. T8 asked me to stop singing it "because it makes my stomach hurt" because of what they did to Jesus' side.

I love that hymn, especially with the new melody. I think there is a conspiracy at my church: they always sing it when I'm home with a sick kid, in the nursery, etc. *sigh* Thanks for posting the link.

I'm glad you had a good time at the conference. I wish I could have been there!

I like that song and many of the old hymns of the faith as well.

Though I am fussy with most of the modern renditions of the old hymns of the faith I had no problem with this one . :)

May God bless you.
