On Hiatus
Well, I've been afraid of changin'
'Cause I've built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Children get older
I'm getting older tooWell, I'm getting older too
So, take this love, take it down
If you climb a mountain and turn around
And If you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well the landslide will brought it downIf you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well maybe ... the landslide will bring it down
Yes, I feel lame quoting the Dixie Chicks. With the classic Stevie Nicks refrain of Children get older I'm getting older too echoing in my head, TulipGirl is going on hiatus.
Grace and peace,
To you and yours,
Wherever you are in the world.

*Sniff* Not you too! :) I understand. Hope you'll be back soon, refreshed and recharged! At least you didn't say you were closing up shop...Have fun on your break.
Blessings!

I hope it's not for long! You will be missed.

Don't feel too lame. "Landslide" was originally performed by Fleetwood Mac. I think it was written by Stevie Nicks. The Dixie Chicks just covered it.
Posted by: Lee Anne Millinger at October 17, 2006 10:05 AM
Well it's been good and I've enjoyed it. God bless you.
Posted by: Rey at October 17, 2006 10:31 AM
Aww! Just when I started to read too!
Posted by: Nan at October 17, 2006 10:36 AM
But don't worry on two counts. Just so you don't feel any needless lameness, you really didn't quote the Dixie Chicks so much as you quoted the Smashing Pumpkins and before that Fleetwood Mac. They sang it first! ;^) (Even though the DC are on my iTunes playlist. LOL!) And I do hope you enjoy your haiatus. Everyone needs one now and then even from something we love as much as blogging!
Grace and peace,
Nan
LOL Soooooooooo sorry to see you go, but it seems hilarious to see you quote the Dixie Chicks! LOL
I understand. Did you pick a time to come back? I hope it's not too long.
Missing you already. *hugs*

SOOOO sorry about your little bug...and about your hiatus!! Boo hoo! Will I still "see" you in other online places??
By the way, I think that song was done by Stevie Nicks way before the Dixie Chicks were likely even born! :-)
Posted by: chewymom at October 17, 2006 03:10 PM
Actually you are quoting Stevie Nicks. You may already know this, but she wrote the song and recorded it with Fleetwood Mac years ago.
I'll miss you TulipGirl. Come back soon.
Posted by: Shelley at October 17, 2006 05:04 PM
Stay well! But hope you won't stay away too long.
Posted by: Sophia at October 17, 2006 05:14 PM
Aww :( I understand though.
If it makes you feel less lame, you could attribute the song to Stevie Nicks or even the Smashing Pumpkins, since they've both sang it (Stevie first obviously).

Enjoy your break. Looking forward to your return.

Ugh on the getting sick...hope y'all are better soon.
I've enjoyed reading your blog and will be sad to see you take a break, but as others said, I see the need to do it sometimes. Come back soon.
In the mean time, maybe we can all enjoy some of your archived posts.

Enjoy your break and come back soon! (Bloggers always come back...)
Posted by: kristen at October 18, 2006 03:27 PM
You will be greatly missed by me. I hope you are whole enough to come back sooner rather than later. (((blessings))))
PS - I didn't even know the DC remade that song. The only one I've ever heard is the original by Stevie Nicks & Fleetwood Mac!
