Amazon Christmas Order Excitement!

I ordered my absolute most favorite Christmas album on cd last year through Amazon. I listened to this cassette over and over and over again when I was younger, and not just at Christmas.

My order last November was delayed because Amazon didn't have it in stock and couldn't get it in stock. Every few weeks, I'd get an e-mail, "Do you still want us to try to fulfill the order?" I kept selecting yes so it's been in my "order history" for ages.

(The year before I was careless in ordering, and inadvertantly bought the wrong album, right artist. Since we were in Ukraine, I didn't bother trying to trade it for the right one.)

Today I received and e-mail--it's been shipped! Woohoo! I'll be all set for Christmas this year! It's only taken three Christmases.

Oh! I love that one. I picked it up at a garage sale as an LP, and at Christmas we drag out the old turntable and listen.

I grew up with this one! Thanks for reminding me - I need to get it so I can share it with my kids.

Ahhhh! That is my favorite Christmas album too. I had it on cassette but it's so old it doesn't play anymore. I guess I'll have to invest in a cd.

Wow. That's a blast from the past. I remember my parents having that record!

Oh my! I love, love, love this album. We had it growing up, and Darcy the dragon used to make me cry. I have it now on cd, and DH doesn't get it.

I actually met Mr. Whittaker about 6 years ago. I gushed all over about this album, and how it isn't Christmastime without it. He was so kind and gracious and gave me the biggest hug. *grin*

*mush, mush* I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who is sentimental about Roger Whitaker. At pandora.com you can request "Roger Whitaker Holiday" as a station. I've really been enjoying that.

My sis called the other night to share a Christmas moment--she had Roger Whitaker on, and her 5 y/o was making a gingerbread house. Ahhhh. . . felt happy to hear that.
