When I Grow Up, Part I

We have a set of books from the Life Nature Library. They belonged to Hubby's grandfather and were published in 1962. This morning as R8 was reading one, he told me, "I think when I grow up, I'd like to study cowboys--you know, a Cowboy Historian. Or, study cactus, so they don't die as much. Or the stars"

That is very cute! My step-dad IS a cowboy historian--sort of. He's a lawyer, but on the side he researches and writes books about infamous "incidents" of the past involving the law and cowboys/settlers in his area of the country (Wyoming).

Can't wait for him to be able to visit us in Bisbee - we have all three for him to study, and I'd love to be his guide!

When we were in Ukraine, I daydreamed about spending 6 weeks in the summer in Bisbee with y'all. . . Let Hubby finish his book, let the boys roam. I still wish we had done that instead of plunging right into "normal" life. Still. . . Maybe before too long.
