Years, Sisters, Miles

My friend Rebecca started blogging awhile back, and now her two sisters have joined her. So, check out the smart domestic Rebecca, momma-with-the-mostest Amy, and the splendid Emily. I've known these three sisters since. . . well. . . has it been almost 20 years?! Uh, it can't be that long, can it?

These three sisters remind me of two other sisters from the same time in my life, same locale--April and Stacey. Only, Stacey isn't blogging. Yet. That I know of. Stacey and her sweetheart Dustin are now blogging!

Two more sisters, me and my sis.

Updated: Another sister pair from the same era and area are Little Carlotta and TweetyGirl.

Looking over where each of us, seven women in seven different states, each at a different stage in our lives, spiritual journeys, relationships. . . In the late '80s, in Chicago's northern suburbs, I don't think any of us quite pictured we would be where we are now.

Man, that brings back some memories! Those were some good times, challenging times, and full of real growth experiences. I do wish that I had gotten to know you better, though. Now, we are miles apart. Who knows, maybe someday we can connect somewhere. For now we can get to know each other better through our blogs. I'm looking forward to it!

My sister and I are both bloggers - she is in South Korea and I am in Canada. It is a great way to keep in touch.

Thanks for linking us all up! It is great that my family is blogging, since we never seem to talk to each other enough to really stay up on the family news. Blogging is definitely the neighborhood of the electronic age.

skerrib, one of the things that occasionally is poignantly sad for me is that the mother/daughter/sister relationships I have with my mom and sis, I won't have with a daughter. I know eventually (prayerfully) I will have dils. . . but, still. . . not the same as what my sis, mom and I share.
