That was a good post. There was one thing that she said that really struck home; about not having any guarantee no matter what parenting "style" you choose. We have seen that in our own family, and the families of others. I've learned to never say never.

Sheila and Kim. . . The older my kids get, the more I recognize the wisdom my mother had/has. . . so much of mothering is loving and praying.

While there may be tips and hints and strategies along the way that help us navigate different stages of development, the real core of parenting is done in hugging our kids and lifting them up to the Lord.

(Not that I'm always good at either of those. . . but that's where the Lord is leading me. . .)
